For over 19 years I worked as a designer, for various companies and traveled all over the blooming world! enough was enough lol. I had to find something new.

 

Redundancy loomed, and a year out on garden leave was required.

 

Before I started my “proper” career I worked in the hotel trade and funny enough I also worked for a pottery studio in Cheshire, always claiming this was my most favorite job and that one day I wanted to own a similar business myself.

 

By chance, one morning Pottery Corner being for sale was brought to my attention, a little run down perhaps all it required was love and attention. I had the time and attention to put into it and couldn't wait to get started!

 

I set about learning the basics of a business. That was a learning curve let me tell you! A cracking new team of devoted artists, full of personalities, new UK-based suppliers, and products have been key to the success of the business.

 

We have a huge amount of return customers and always welcome the new and unsure into our lovely space. I like to think we offer a service “ how I would like to be treated” style.

 

Pottery corner is now in its seventh year and with lots more to offer going forward! Best of all I still love going to work and what could be better than that?
